SOCIAL MEDIA CHAIR -Hermanas de Stanford
🔆 In a predominately white institution like Stanford, it is important to have spaces where one can feel at home in community with people from similar backgrounds. Hermanas de Stanford is a Latinx & Womxn Empowerment student-led group that focuses on academic, personal, and community growth.
🧠 Created and managed the first ever Hermanas de Stanford instagram account and published individual shout outs to hermanas, motivational quotes, event flyers, and any group photographs I shot.

For the last Hermanas de Stanford annual party, I decided to add a message along with the flyer (flyer was created by Aiyana Herrera) that raised awareness about the origins of Reggaeton and the role that non-Black folks play in the way we consume it. Fortunately, it was very well received:
SCOPE 2035- Video Journalism
🔆 I produced a video journalistic piece covering The Stanford Coalition for Planning an Equitable (SCOPE) 2035, which is comprised of a group of students that have been advocating for equitable outcomes from the General Use Permit (GUP) process. SCOPE has primarily advocated for equitable outcomes in the areas of housing, transportation, labor provisions, and GHG emissions.
🧠 As students from Stanford, SCoPE members and supporters condemn the negative impact that Stanford has inflicted on its neighboring communities by being a major contributor to the housing crisis in the Bay Area, as well as the unjustifiable neglect for Stanford workers’ rights and health.

SOCIAL MEDIA VOLUNTEER for TeamASAP at ETHS.
🔆 ALL students at ETHS should have access to Advanced Placement courses, as well as a community that supports positive and successful experiences in those courses.
🧠 Redesigned TeamASAP’s social media presence, posted meeting updates, and created promotional videos increasing their following by a hundred unique accounts in the first two weeks.
